The Story of Archangel Michael
and the Rebellious Angels
The secret archives of the Essene tradition reveal to us that, in a distant past, there was a quarrel among the Angels about man. Of course, at that time, humanity was not such as it is today. It was living in a kind of divine sleep. One part of this group of Angels wanted to unite with humanity and become Fathers through it. The other part wanted to remain faithful to the one and only Father and to the path He had drawn for them.
This conflict degenerated and a confrontation took place. In the very heart of the battle, an Archangel rose like a column of Light and spoke a word with divine powerfulness: "Who is like God?" This word was both a question and an affirmation. It was a call to order. It resounded and spread in all worlds as the word of victory for the kingdom of the Light, and faithfulness. It rose into the heights and descended into the depths.
The Father of all fathers received this word and called the Archangel who had spoken it with such determination MICHAEL, which signifies: Who is like God. The Angels who wanted to take the place of the Father in man understood that they were vanquished and hurried into darkness to fecundate it with their seed in order to create in it a world in which they could live with the feminine part of humanity. This is why it is said that Adam and Eve were separated. Adam represents the principle of the Father in man, whereas Eve embodies earthly humanity.
Archangel Michael was placed at the entrance of the divine world to guard access to it. In fact, he became the guardian of the first image of man: the original man as wanted by God. The word of victory of the Archangel, "Who is likeGod?", was an allusion to this image of the primal fire of the worlds in man. This is why he became the Father of fire. The rebellious angels did everything to divert fire from its divine origin, and this is how they engendered the fire of devouring passions, of war, of anger and of decomposition. Thus, man lost the path of fire inside him, and also outside him.
Through his word, the Archangel showed that he knew the secret of the veritable man, which is also the secret of God. This secret announces the defeat of the rebellious angels, but also their healing and their redemption through man.
In their descent within darkness and the deceitful light, the sick angels divided among themselves and fought one another. One group engendered the physical world, and it wanted man to live only as a body with a mechanical thought. The other group refused dense matter and wanted to recreate the image of the paradise they had just left. It wanted man to be spiritual and to live in an ideal way. Through their disagreement, man was divided: there was life in a physical body and life without a body, there was day and night, life and death.
In the body of man, the sick angels took refuge in certain places of his belly. Those who wanted man to be spiritual engendered a magnetic current through his kidneys so as to seize his head and thought. They engendered false thoughts through religion, philosophy, spirituality, always pushing humans to deny earth and to cut themselves off from everything that is concrete and that roots one in reality.
Those who wanted man to be only a physical body in a world of forms and technology entered his solar plexus and, from there, into his hands and feet. From then on they impelled man to seek only perfection in the kingdom of outer forms and to fiercely deny everything that might come close, from near or far, to inner life, to spirituality, to life in sleep or after death.
These 2 currents continue to confront each other in humanity: on one side there are the religious, the spiritualists and on the other, the materialists.
Archangel Michael represents another category of humans: those who enter the schools of mysteries and who open inside themselves the path of fire and of the Light, the presence of the Father and of His flame of life.
When Michael spoke his magical word, a consequence was brought forth throughout time: it became the living soul of all the schools of mysteries and of the solar tradition on earth. This is how the humanity of Light was able to come on earth in all eras to transmit the great remedy.
Michael is the sacred influence that allows to balance the forces of opposition and duality in man. His presence manifests itself first as an opening to the divine world in one’s thought that has become conscious. Thought then connects with the reality of eternal ideas. Next, through thought, his presence descends into the centre of the heart to restore the veritable sensitivity that makes the eternal soul of man appear. He then manifests himself in the belly, to restore the will of man as wanted by God, then in action, realizing the divine on earth through his word, acts, works. The covenant of Light is then sealed, and the 4-letter Name of God in man, the Name "Yahweh", which in Hebrew is written with the letters yod, he, vav, he, is sanctified.
The sick angels wanted to take hold of this 4-letter Name in man; they wanted to substitute themselves for the yod, the first letter, in order to take hold of EVE, the 3 other letters, which correspond to the 3 intelligences in man: thinking, feeling, acting.
Man is the only creature on earth possessing the capacity to think, to feel and to act consciously, deliberately. Through thought and consciousness, he stands at the crossroads of the worlds. Thought can cultivate inside him the divine world or the kingdom of the sick angels. The battle is still relevant for today, and it is inside man that it takes place. Everything that happens in the world just as in your personal life comes from the divine and creative power of conscious or unconscious thought and will.
To want to approach Archangel Michael is to aspire to pierce the secret of this word: "Who is like God?" It is the secret of man, of what is essential in man. The sick angels did everything to hide this essence, for it is the door to the other world, which liberates the soul from the illusion of the false self and of the deceitful light. This self is the fruit of the union of man with the sick angels. This fruit is imperfect, for it was born from an imperfect seed.
The sick angels could not be Fathers, for their goal was selfish and they did not have veritable love. The Father is recognized by His love.
The illusory self is imperfect; this is why one must constantly feed it so that its flame does not go out. The divine flame, as for it, is eternal.
To seek the essence of man is to discover and serve inside oneself what never dies out. This sacred presence is the essence hidden behind all visible flames and lights.
Become aware that behind your thoughts, your feelings, sensations, wills, desires, there are a flame, a light, a presence, an energy . . . All these manifestations of your being can turn towards the divine flame or be diverted so as to be put at the service of another light, of an ephemeral self and, through it, of other beings.
Michael is the one who shows you that your thought is a world peopled with faithful Angels or with sick angels.
Who can deny that there are healthy thoughts and others that are sick and have been made sick?
The question is: Whom do we wish to share our life with?
Of course, current philosophy seeks to make people believe that only the world of tangible forms is real, but keep in mind that such a belief is only a thought. One can live in a thought as one lives in a house.
The Essene school of mysteries must become a house in which divine thought has become possible.
One who will make the effort to consciously look at thought, and who will awaken his senses in the world of thought will quickly understand that not only is a thought real in its own soul environment, but that its influence and its effects extend all the way into the reality of daily life and of the physical world.
Before such an impartial investigation, one cannot but note that the sick angels have seized human thought and that they have put their own seeds in it. Then man was surrounded by a psychic atmosphere that cut him off from the divine kingdom and from its living thought. Death does not come first in the body, but in thought.
The beginning of the path of fire is the awakening of conscious and living thought.
Understand that it is possible to change everything inside you and in your life simply by changing your way of thinking. Of course, this is easy to say, but difficult to do, for there is a whole past to transform, and it was precisely engendered by the power of thought fecundated by the big nonsense.
This is why a whole science, a strength, a know-how, a life field are needed, and hence the importance of the Essene school and of the celebration of the fire lit in honour of Archangel Michael at the autumn equinox. This is a unique opportunity, for he is the fire of conscious and divine thought that enters the world.
The Essene school is a direct emanation of this fire. It is a current of intelligence filled with soul that comes towards you through vitalized thoughts to invite you to walk with your own feet and to set yourself to work for an all-inclusive work, a Christic work.
When a man has understood that life in his thoughts is real, he becomes vigilant towards the thoughts that visit him and that aspire to live with him. This vigilance is natural, it emanates from the awakening of consciousness and from the fruit of experience. In the physical world, we naturally pay attention to whom we associate with, and it must be the same with thoughts, which are real beings.
Beautiful thoughts conduct us towards the fire of Michael, they light up everything that is noble and great in us and in the world.
Archangel Michael is the principle that gave veritable freedom in the will of man. He put the sword of decisions in his hands so that man could act in full awareness and consciousness and determine himself in his being, his action and his destiny.
Modern spiritualists think that Archangel Michael is either a being of legend, of tradition, or a being of the beyond, but for our school, he is as real as air or water, and it is not in an imaginary world that we can meet him, but in the reality of the earth when our own daily life has become real, authentic. He is present when the freedom to go towards the divine in purity is given to us, the freedom to choose our thoughts in full awareness, and also to decide on our future, on that of humanity and of the earth.
