The Hamlet of Poulan
After Normandy and Brittany, Olivier Martin will direct his attention towards the south of France, and more precisely around the city of Montpellier, which rapidly becomes a privileged place and so to speak the central pole around which the activities and encounters will organize themselves. Indeed, a very active group forms, numerous projects are implemented and a first seminar proves very encouraging.
In March 1992, Olivier writes to his students:
"I thank most particularly the brothers and sisters who prepared the seminar in Montpellier. We were more than forty and a work different from other times, but perhaps more profound, was able to be realized. Behind each number, there is an acting force. The first group of our initiatory school was formed in Montpellier and it is already active. I ask all the brothers and sisters to think of them and to send them Light to fortify them in their task."
In June, the feast of Saint John in Rogues enables about twenty people to gather to celebrate the summer solstice and live together a weekend of teachings and experimentations. The fire of Saint John symbolizes a force of love that inspires each one to rise towards the heights to merge with immensity and find his veritable dimension.
"In our community, we seek to develop such a love that manifests in secret, silence, immensity, acts and duration. The feast of Saint John always proposes to the initiate who accepts it a profound spiritual work. Certain keys were able to be given and I wish that they serve to open the doors of the path of the divine work."
Summer begins. Olivier and a few disciples take the direction of Provence again, towards Sainte-Baume, so as to go to the grotto of Mary Magdalene.
History tells that in the 30s, Mary Magdalene came to take refuge in a grotto on the slopes of the grandiose massif of Sainte-Baume, near Saint-Maximin, in the south of France. It is all the way up the massif that this particular grotto opens, oriented towards the north-west. Mary Magdalene loved solitude and contemplation and it is in this precarious shelter that she took refuge to spend the last thirty years of her life by nourishing herself on roots and quenching her thirst with the water of heaven.
Olivier explains to his students that an initiatory school of original Christianity has sat in the past in this magical place and that they can now receive its blessing. He is happy to feel the beautiful energy that flows from their work and he writes on this subject:
"I rejoice much for the seminar of Sainte-Baume and for the spiritual work that I was able to undertake in the grotto of the feminine master Mary Magdalene. I wish with all my heart that the life field of our community of Light strengthens so that I can more and more transmit this high knowledge of feminine initiation, as it has been given to me.
As Mary Magdalene did it on the feet of Christ, pour your oil on the feet of our school so that it strengthens and flourishes. This is linked to the mysteries of the washing of the feet of the apostles."
In this year 1992, a first seminar to honour Archangel Michael is set up in September, in Lodève, near Montpellier, and proves very encouraging. A sacred fire, lit in homage to the Archangel, is maintained despite bad weather. This seminar takes on a particular importance, because Olivier Martin resurrects through this act the sacred offering and ceremonial performed by his predecessors.
"Masters Deunov and Aïvanhov, as well as Rudolf Steiner, celebrated every year the feast of Saint Michael, because they had and maintained an alliance with this Archangel. During this full moon of equinox can be performed a work of intense and profound purification and illumination. An inner separation operates between the divine forces and the matter that remains to be sublimated, it is the image of the combat of the Archangel and the dragon. One who is sufficiently awakened can thus progress on the path of inner illumination and mastery. It is indeed at this period that a door opens, enabling the prepared soul to launch itself towards the divine world and to bring back from it a force of courage and faith capable of resisting all trials. If you manage to merge, to intensify inside you the divine and immortal aspect, you will then acquire seeds of Light that are powers, forces, capacities to obtain control of the negative energies of the lower personality. These seeds will be given to you by Archangel Michael himself. Only this solar Archangel possesses the capacity to triumph over the subterranean and dark forces that imprison the human personality and earth."
Following this seminar, Olivier travels through Provence in search of a land of welcome, but without success. It is by crossing the Cathar country that destiny conducts him towards a magical place, of a wild beauty, in the very heart of Aveyron. A verdant space, full of life, colours, hills and forests opens to his eyes: forty-two hectares in full nature, at the summit of a mountain, with a panoramic view, in pure air filled with peace and serenity. This place seems to smile at him, as if it were awaiting his coming. Above Saint-Affrique, near Montlaur, in the region of Millau, it is named the Hamlet of Poulan and it will become an Essene land: Terranova.
