"Our teaching is the same as that of the Cathars, but in another form, adapted to our modern civilization. Without the Cathars, nothing would have been possible."

The Cathars, who lived in the south of France in the Middle Ages, were beings of great purity who fought to defend their ideas and their vision of the free world. They were called the "Perfect Ones," the "Good Men," the "Good Women." They formed a true, fraternal, authentic and faithful people, they lived in sharing and harmony.

A Perfect One was a being who had placed his water body in purity and who received the messages of the Holy Spirit, of the omnipresent God who speaks to man, of the God of love who speaks through the trees and the fruits, through the water, the breath, the birds, the animals, who speaks through all beings and who gives the message of wisdom.

Thus, the Perfect Ones had reached this state in which one lives with one's soul, and it was very concrete for them. They knew the difference between living down in the valley and living up in the mountain: on the high summits, there are things that leave you, you become clear, you can understand things that you would never have understood in the daily tumult and whirlwind of the valley. But they also knew that when you descend again, all of this comes back towards you and you are again taken by the rhythm of the valley.

History relates that the siege of Montségur, in 1243-1244, lasted ten interminable months. The Cathars resisted their oppressors, sustained by the idea of defending their high ideals to the end. These beings held invaluable knowledge. Through their sacrifice, the Cathars enabled future generations to keep alive the memory of their work of Light.

The Cathar religion is part of the history and of the tradition of the Essene Nation. Their initiations consisted in taking the faithful to the summits, where they had to prove their endurance, their worth, surpass themselves.

In 2012, a group of Essenes went on pilgrimage in the Ariège Pyrenees to walk in the footsteps of Catharism. It was the opportunity to recover a whole teaching.

"I went there so much in those mountains, I walked, I sang, we were several. The Cathars were already there, it becomes a collective memory, an alliance with worlds that have existed. I am sure that when I go walk on these paths, these paths will speak to me again and that all that I had placed in them will come back towards me."

This encounter marks not only Olivier's return to the land of his initiations, but also the return of the "Cathar-Essenes" to their lands.

This Cathar seminar is going to attract a hundred participants gathered to live together a great adventure, 700 years after the prophecy of Bélibaste made in 1309: "In 700 years, we will be back stronger than ever."

This opportunity is going to enable to revive certain memories of Catharism, while resurrecting the founding heritage that the Cathars left to the world and of which Olivier had recovered some traces during his retreat in the hamlet of Serrelongue. An initiatory circuit in the open air and of all beauty reveals itself of incomparable richness, coupled with warm sharings between Olivier, the participants and the living memory of the Cathar people. Teachings are coupled with initiations throughout the seminar.

Essenes from several countries therefore share in rapture and joy the episodes of this journey including an Essene baptism in the pure waters of Font Blanca, sacred mountain of the Cathars; a baptism of fire in the cave of Ussat; and the ascent of Mount Soularac, mountain of Archangel Michael, with a ceremony performed at the summit in homage to this sacred mountain.

"Climbing to the summit of the mountain, in the esoteric sense of the term, represented for the Cathars the breath of the sacred in the will to give body to God on earth, taking into consideration all the kingdoms and all the elements, for the Common Good."

Among the Cathars, the highest initiation was called the "consolamentum" or "consolament," it was a consecration, a divine sacrament. During this first congress and pilgrimage in holy Cathar land, Olivier had each one pass through, in the castle of Montségur and in the greatest recollection, this ceremony of the "consolamentum."

"What is the Round of Archangels in the Essene Nation was the "consolamentum" among the Cathars, it is exactly the same thing. To the one who decided to be part of the Cathar heaven, of the Cathar soul, one gave the "consolament." It was a sacred initiation, but very simple, that was accomplished by imposing hands on the newcomer. Then one taught him the "Our Father," the fundamental prayer of the Cathars, that he had to recite several times a day: while washing himself, while eating and in all activities where it was possible. By receiving the "consolament," you became a Good Man, a Good Woman, you entered on the path of the fundamental virtue of goodness, of love. You had obligations, but you could at any time withdraw, decide to no longer be Cathar and choose another path.

The second "consolament," it was the great "consolament," where you committed yourself "ad vitam æternam." After this commitment, you could no longer withdraw, it was therefore necessary that you be certain that Catharism was your life. You took the commitment to become a Perfect One, that is to say a being pure in his heart, in all his being, and you committed yourself to follow this path until death. You thus entered upon a path of immortality. It is during a theurgic contact with the ancient Cathars that they gave me teachings on the "consolamentum," which is the consolation, the blessing of the sun ("con": with; "sol": the sun)."

The fraternity of the Cathars was the last initiatory school to have realized the alliance with Archangel Michael and the divine world as a people, until the birth of the Essene Nation.

This pilgrimage in Cathar country and this initiation of the "consolamentum" were moments of the highest importance for the Essene Nation. Indeed, three years later, in 2015, this opportunity to receive the second "consolamentum" will be presented to the Essenes through the worship of the Light, which will open the door of the marriage of the soul with God.
