2000

Individual Awakening

"Today, the media speak of the year 2000 as an event, but one must finally understand that, without the presence of Master Jesus, this date would not have existed. This can become a fabulous occasion to truly question oneself again and to take stock. What future, what evolution do we want? For, at bottom, nothing has truly changed. The world prepares to celebrate without preoccupying itself with the new millennium that is going to incarnate itself. Will this be so as to elevate individuals in a broader, more serene, freer consciousness? One must no longer believe blindly, but experiment, verify, apply. To celebrate the third millennium of the spirit of Christ is not only to go to a church whatever it may be, but it is above all to clarify oneself, to awaken, to recover one's individual sovereignty, to become fully responsible for one's own thoughts, one's feelings and one's choices."

Extract from the monthly letter of January 2000

In this year 2000 appear three new books, "The Strength of Being Oneself", "The Secrets of Letting Go" and "The Seven Keys for Respect". Olivier desires to transmit through these works the principal values, such as rigour, courage, respect, that every knight of Light must acquire. There is in every man a divine principle, a sacred ego, a spark of the celestial fire. Only the quest for intimate union with this spark of the sacred fire of the celestial self can open the door of the great invisible and of plenitude. This path requires great audacity, strength, and the most ardent draw it from the study of texts and teachings, then from application, training and discipline.

"What is respect? Respect is the key that opens the door of the temple. This key must be in harmony with the lock, otherwise it does not enter. Who is the key? But it is man, it is you who are the key of this temple.

If you put yourself in a just inner attitude, then the door will open and you will enter the temple of the divine mysteries, but if you do not have it, if you do not have discipline, if you do not have the knowledge of what a temple is, if you have not opened your heart in subtlety, then you will not be able to enter."

In the autumn, Olivier Manitara leaves again for a lecture tour organized by the Club Québec Conférences in several cities: Montreal, Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivières, Rimouski. He speaks to his audiences on the theme of inner ecology. The reception is more and more warm, the Quebecois feel concerned and respond to the call.

But at Terranova, the conjuncture does not present itself in its best light. In the eyes of the Aveyronnais, the Essenes appear suspect, and things begin to amplify against them. It is thus that, during the month of November, the Village will experience an event of extreme violence to which it did not expect itself. It finds itself besieged one morning at dawn and like a band of wrongdoers, the Essenes are brutally attacked by the gendarmerie of the department, assisted by a special anti-terrorist intervention brigade coming from Pau, prefecture of the department of Pyrénées-Orientales. The besiegers, hooded in black and equipped with submachine guns, mistreat them, question them and take them into custody. They carry away in their passage the computers and all the files, requisitioned so as to paralyze their work and their enterprises.

This episode plunges the Village into a profound sadness for numerous months, leaving an imprint of bitterness and disappointment with regard to those who do not want to seek to understand the beautiful, the great, the true, but who come so as to damage, to crush, to debase.

Here is the testimony of Philippe Le Guen, who writes from December 2000 the monthly letters in place of Olivier, he no longer being authorized to express himself or to appear in public.

"As several among you must know it, the French authorities are trying through profoundly unhealthy and arbitrary means to make Olivier pass for a guru. Those who know him know that Olivier is the contrary of a guru.

It is veritable discrimination, for no one has filed a complaint against him in five years of relentless investigation. I myself was interrogated and I was able to feel all the disguised hatred. Those who were facing me were in a veritable psychosis and were living a delirium. Peter Deunov was imprisoned, exiled, assigned to residence, beaten to paralysis. Rudolf Steiner saw his school burn and he died poisoned. Mikhaël Aïvanhov was imprisoned and forbidden to sojourn. Olivier, he is assigned to residence and does not have the right to publish, to speak in public or to write.

My point of view is that instead of separating us, this passing ordeal must strengthen us, awaken us, stabilize us. Today, they want to make us believe that our ideas make us suspect people. This will not last. I am persuaded that the clouds will dissipate and that Olivier will be restored in his rights.

During the years that I shared with Olivier, I saw him give hundreds of lectures, of friendly talks. He animated meditations, created dances, exercises, music, drawings, organized works for peace, for children. I rejoiced to see resurrected with my own eyes a tradition of Light, to see it reborn from its ashes like the Phoenix of the Rosicrucian legend."

For one year, the Village of Terranova slowly recovers from this ordeal and lives in slow motion. Olivier Manitara must live hidden and wait for the wave to pass.

This same year, on April 2, is born the second daughter of Olivier and Magali, Salomé.
